Our story

THE SPARK

Summer at Lake Garda in 1977. A Dutch student named Loek meets Chicca at the reception of a campsite. A glance. A smile. And something that feels bigger than coincidence. Among the cypresses, the first seed of Vacanze col Cuore is planted.

TOGETHER FORWARD

Loek and Chicca marry in 1983 and buy their first campsite. Loek sees opportunities everywhere, Chicca creates the atmosphere. While he runs Weekend, she starts a residence. Busy with guests during the day, they continue dreaming in the evening. The spark has become a flame.

THE INVENTION

Loek always had a knack for trends and in 2006 he felt it: camping could be different. Better. More comfortable. Glamping was born. Tents with real beds, wooden floors, and a private bathroom. Luxury in the open air. And the family? They grew along happily.

NEW BEGINNING

After entrepreneurial adventures in the travel industry, something new began in 2018. Together with their sons Alessandro and Leonardo, the family founded Vacanze col Cuore. A family business with a soul. One where you feel at home, even though you are on holiday.

Nowadays, Loek, Chicca, Alessandro, and Leonardo together run Vacanze col Cuore. At each resort, you can sense their love for detail and personal attention. This way, you experience glamping as it was originally intended. With the heart in the right place.
